System Requirements

Before you download the New Fire software, you need the following system requirements:

1. Operation system for server: Windows XP/2000/NT, Linux
2. Web browser for client: FireFox 1.5, Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 or Netscape 8
3. Server memory: 64MB for Series 1000 and 128MB for Series 2000
4. i386 compatable processor speed for server: 500 MHz or above

Using hardware less than the recommended requirements may impact the performance of the software.

For Series 1000

You do not need a database. It is a standalone installation.

For Series 2000

In addition, you need to install a database and obtain a JDBC 2.0 Driver. See Upgrade to Series 2000.
