Enter New License

If your New Fire server is up and running, you can enter a new license through Configuration from the Administrator Menu. See Configuration. After entering a new license, restart the server.

If your New Fire server is unable to start because of an expired license, you must run the license command from command line.

Running License from the Command Line for Windows

Start a DOS command prompt. Go to the directory <newfire>/bin and enter:

license "##########"

Where ########## is the license number. It must be in double quotes.

Running License from the Command Line for UNIX

Start a console or a terminal window. Go to the directory <newfire>/bin and enter:

./license "##########"

Where ########## is the license number. It must be in double quotes.
